VIDEO: U16s vs Crawley Cagers

The Cagers demonstrated how to set up a full court press and the Cougars struggled at first but broke through irregularly. The Crawley team played harder and faster always looking to pass up the court and running a heavy cutting offence to the basket.
The visitors missed easy layups albeit most under pressure and were punished for poor passes.

The Cagers raced ahead in the first quarter but in the second the Cougars held them and punished the local team with outside the arc shooting.
But the Crawley team retook the advantage in the third being first to loose balls and punishing the Brighton team on the fast break.
The Cagers won.
The return game is set for the 15th so the team need to work on strong, accurate passing on the fast break and finishing a range of layups including reverse layups under pressure.
The players also need to work on strong defensive work denying the layup and helping while looking for the steal.
