The Cobras were strong on height and won the tip-off as the teams shared points up until the end of the first half.
The home team had players who could score from difficult angles and were finishing layups comfortably.
But the physical confrontations started taking their toll on both teams as the Cobras players picked up fouls.
The Cougars played to their strengths and moved the ball around the thrree point line and penetrated the open lanes.
Despite the opponents having the height advantage, Tom Williiams, who racked up his highest score of the season , dominated the rebonds with Kiaren as Noah Tappenden clocked up another healthy individual score.
The Cougars, who steadily dominated the game in the last quarter as the Cobras left holes in defence as they tried to get back into the game, walked off the court winners 36-56.
