Club seeks new sponsors for 2015/16

As ever the club remains desperately short of funds and is now actively seeking a new sponsor to support our National League programme launched last year with the U14 Girls and Men's teams. (Next season we are hoping to add a new U14 Boys team).
As a club we also remain committed to supporting the basketball programme at BHASVIC, which has just been awarded AASE status (Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence) by England Basketball and in conjunction with BHASVIC, Cougars will again entering boys U16 & U18 National League teams.
These teams are designed to give Brighton’s most talented players a clear development path leading to Men's National League and beyond. So all in all, this could be an exciting opportunity for potential new sponsors to be involved with one of the fasted growing team sports in the UK.
Sadly though, basketball is also one of the most underfunded sports in England receiving only £9.25 per participant from Sport England by comparison to a massive £164.93 for rugby and £70.72 for cricket and this is despite Basketball being the second most popular team sport after football*
The cost of being part of a National League basketball team can also be prohibitive for many talented potential players costing as much as £400 a year per player once kits costs, court hire, league entry fees and match officials are all taken into account and that’s assuming the coaches are willing to give their time for free.
This is why the support of individual sponsors is so vital.
In terms of the opportunities for potential sponsors, all team kit could all be branded with the sponsors logo, as could match-side banners, posters and club promotional material. Their logo and a link could be included on our website and they would be able to promote their offering via our regular member communications.
