Brighton Cougars and SCEB New Year Camp 2014!

Brighton Cougars are excited to announce a New Year Camp in association with SCEB on January 2nd and 3rd 2014 at Brighton University, Falmer Campus. The camp is for players in schools years 7 to 11 and will be coached by SCEB and Brighton Cougars Coach Tom Ward and Worthing Thunder player Dominic Baker, who is the Head Coach at Worthing College and Lancing College. Another guest coach is to be announced next month.

SCEB Head Coach Tom Ward has coached camps in the USA and Spain, coaching beginners who haven't played the sport before to twenty year-old professional prospects. Tom has played at the highest level of college basketball in the United States, and has trained and played with current NBA players such as Jared Cunningham of the Atlanta Hawks, his AAU teammate, Reggie Jackson of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chuck Hayes of the Sacramento Kings and Joel Freeland of the Portland Trail Blazers. Tom is currently playing for the Worthing Thunder in the EBL and is the Head Coach of Brighton-based South Coast Elite Basketball, as well as a coach at Brighton Cougars.
Dominic Baker has been coaching in Sussex schools for the past three years, and is a professional player for the Worthing Thunder basketball team in the EBL. Dominic has also played at the highest level of college basketball in the United States, playing one year at Savannah State University in Georgia, USA. Dominic spent time as a professional player in France and Iceland, and brought his coaching and playing talents back to Sussex where he grew up.
