New Club Committee Structure Proposal
Due to a shortage of new volunteers it is proposed to reduce the size of the Club Committee from the current seven posts to just the four key posts: Chair, Club Secretary, Treasurer and Welfare Officer. These are to be elected at the forthcoming AGM on September 5th.

Parking at Brighton University
If you are training at Brighton University please make sure you register your car at reception if you intend being on site for longer than 30 minutes.

Changes to training times and venues June 21-29
Unfortunately, due to internal exams being held at Dorothy Stringer from Monday June 21 until Tuesday June 29 training will be as follows for the period concerned.

We are delighted to announce that we will be running a number of basketball camps at Sussex University during May half term on Tuesday June 1st and Wednesday June 2nd

Member Update: March 11 2021
Following the recent publication of the government’s roadmap out of lock down, the club is very pleased to be able to confirm that junior basketball will be returning to Brighton Cougars from Monday April 12 and for seniors from Monday May 17. However, the Club will remain closed to new members until such time we can establish how many existing members will be returning.

New Training Timetable from October 17
To coincide with the re-opening of Stringer next week and the start of fixtures in November, the Club has had to make a number of changes to the training timetable effective from October 17th.

COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure
YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEND TRAINING OR MATCHES IF:
- You or any family member has any symptoms of coronavirus – high temperature >37.8°, a new continuous cough or a loss/change to your sense of smell or taste
- You or a family member has had a positive Covid test and you are still in your isolation period. If you still have a high temperature after your isolation period you must not return to basketball, you should continue to isolate
- You have been advised to self-isolate by another establishment e.g. school
- You have returned from a foreign country in the last 14 days which has not got a travel bridge in place with the UK.
- You and your family has been advised to self-isolate by NHS Test and Track
- You should not attend training if you are not well enough to attend school
